Privacy

Privacy shapes the product before it reaches a settings screen.

Nova Fast is built for people who want a fasting tool, not a wellness platform. It keeps the routine private by default, limits what it asks from you, and skips features that exist only to turn a personal habit into a stream of data.

A phone face down on a table beside a glass of water and a notebook.
The core routine works with the network switched off. That is the simplest test of a privacy claim, and the one Nova Fast is designed to pass.

Product behaviour

What the product does.

Three behaviours are wired in before any settings screen offers a checkbox. They define how Nova Fast treats the data you generate by simply using it.

Start without an account

Begin tracking immediately — no profile, no email, no routine tied to a remote identity you have to maintain.

Keep history on the device

Fasting history, food entries, water logs, and progress stay on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back them up.

Use notifications sparingly

Reminders support the routine. They are not used to drag you back into the app for vanity metrics, feeds, or streak pressure.

In practice

What that means day to day.

Not a policy summary — the actual behaviour you can check by using the app for a week.

  • You choose when data leaves. Exports and backups are explicit actions, never background behaviour.

  • Plain formats only. What you export is readable without our app.

  • Deleting means deleting. Removing an entry removes it, not just its visibility.

  • No third-party analytics in the routine. The daily surface does not report on you.

What the product refuses.

Plain language first.

This page explains the product stance in plain language. If a formal policy is added later it should say the same thing more precisely — never contradict how the app actually behaves.

A routine you can keep to yourself.

Nova Fast is on iPhone and Android. Open it and start; the rest stays on your device.
